A very nice encyclopedia of the amazing sports car Porsche 917. Introduced in 1969 the innovative production from Zuffenhausen has set new records from the first day on.

The book not only covers the historical backgrounds of the car’s development and production, it also summarizes in detail each of the 53 models that were produced between 1969 and 1971 in 53 chapters including the 917/20 with chassis number “20-001″ that became famous with the name “Die fette Sau” (The Pig): The book shows each model with all its variations, different liveries and documents which version has been driven for which occasion.

You will also discover the reason why one of the latest models has been called “Fette Sau” (shown in the picture) ;-)
