This movie tells the story of the experienced professional driver David Brabham going to Le Mans 2006 with two rookie drivers who never drove at Le Mans before (Nelson Piquet Jr. and Antonio Garcia). Team Modena attended Le Mans 2006 with these drivers in an Aston Martin DBR9.
Similar to the movie about Martin Short it feels like being part of the team and its preparations, its race and its thrill being at Le Mans, the most important endurance race of the world.
David Brabham tells about his responsibilities within the team being the only professional driver and therefore slightly worrying about their upcoming 24 hours.
The movie also features exclusive family footage from the 1960s narrated by David Brabham showing also Sir Jack Brabham, Denny Hulme and brothers Geoff and Gary... very very nice and touching!
Antonio Garcia had his premiere at Le Mans 2006. As of the A.C.O.'s rules, each driver has to perform 10 subsequent fast laps during the qualifying... so you can imagine how big the pressure was on Antonio when it was his turn to enter the DBR9... watch the movie to find out how it all ended!
