For sure a special year for Le Mans: 1) Aston Martin returns to Le Mans in the LMP1 class with one single intention: Bring home the overall victory after 50 years!
2) Ferrari celebrated 60 years at Le Mans. In 1949 Ferrari raced at Le Mans for the first time right after World War II.
3) Corvette: 2009 was also the last year where the works Corvette C6.R started in the LMGT1 class. You still see these GT1 racers this year but only by privateers.
4) Peugeot: Finally they could beat the Audi domination since 2000 and bring home the overall victory.
