This is for sure one of the most precious film documents I've ever seen (and not only because it is not available on DVD or VHS). It is so fantastic to see such documentary from the good old adventurous time! You also get some scenes from the very beginning of Le Mans (1929, see snapshots below) and you get funny quotes like those from the Bentley Boys driving from England to Le Mans without knowing exactly which road they should take... I also enjoyed this quote by one of the Aston Martin mechanics: "The food gets better, only the beer gets worse!" ...

This is a documentary about Aston Martin, returning to Le Mans after a very long break with their brand new car they have worked on for over 2 years: NIMROD. The movie looks at the rivalry between the Aston Martin's works Nimrod sports car and a private version of the same car, both entered for the 1982 Le Mans 24 hour race.

About the Nimrod: V8 engine, 560 bhp and with a top speed of 220mph. The Nimrod was raced between 1981 and 1984, with the most successful year being 1982 when it came third in the World Sports Car Championship and was the first British Car home in the Le Mans 24 hour race, coming seventh overall.
