Porsche 917: Archiv 1968 - 1975

Rating = 5
2009-Oct-19 Focus of the book: The technical construction of the Porsche 917.

Compared to all other books about the Porsche 917, this one has been written by one of the engineers that designed and constructed the well known racer. As a result the whole book is focusing on the construction and provides by far the richest details about the car. The large scale drawings are certainly one of the most impressive parts of the book. Additionally the book is based on Porsche archive materials only and also includes photographs that have never been shown to public so far.

Rating = 5
2007-Dec-01 The dramatic shapes of Porsche's most successful sports cars are the subjects of this book by renowned photographer and Porsche racer Jeff Zwart. During a Reunion at Daytona International Speedway Jeff constructed a temporary studio to photograph more than 125 cars. Every sports-car model type from every decade is represented, from the first Porsche built in 1948 (356-001) through the 2004 GT3 RSR. Each chapter is introduced by a factory driver from that period, which includes Herbert Linge, Dan Gurney, Brian Redman, Derek Bell, Hurley Haywood, and Sascha Maassen. Porsche 911 GT3 RSR - Limited Edition

Rating = 4
2007-May-07 When I was live at Le Mans 2008 watching the 24 hours race I knew very soon that my biggest enthusiasm was aimed at the Porsche GT3 RSRs and above all those driven by the Flying Lizard Team.
