Jo Siffert - The Swiss Racing Legend

Rating = 4
2010-Dec-01 Ed Heuvink, author of the very interesting book about the Swiss racing team Scuderia Filipinetti, brings out his latest work about the most famous Swiss race driver ever: Jo 'Seppi' Siffert. Details
Les Suisses au Mans 2010 (Tome 5)

Rating = 4
2010-Dec-2 I discovered the first books [Tome 1 and Tome 2] of this series in the beginning of 2009, it was hard to find them as there is not much about them in the internet and the books are fully written in french so there is probably no single review in english out there... Details
Die Aussenseiter

Rating = 5
2006 Focus of the book: This book is a true treasure when it comes to summarize the Swiss history in Motorsports from 1950 to 2006: Carefully researched and written in great detail, interesting also for non-Swiss race enthusiasts as it tells many stories around famous races in that time range. Thanks to Nina and her father for signing it, and many thanks to Mitch! Details
Les Suisses au Mans 2009 (Tome 4)

Rating = 4
2009-Jul-01 Unlike Part 1 and 2 of this series, part 4 (2009) is summarizing all details of the Swiss at le Mans 2009 across 60 pages and dedicates a chapter for each decade:
- 1999, 1989, 1979, 1969, 1959, 1949 and 1939 are well desribed across 120 pages.

La Suisse et les 24 Heures du Mans (Tome 2)

Rating = 5
2007-Jul-01 Unfortunately this book is available only in french but for me a good and motivating occasion to refresh my four years of french lessons at school. However: A Must-Have if you have already part one. Details
La Suisse et les 24 Heures du Mans (Tome 1)

Rating = 5
2007-Jun-01 The book is not chronologically going through the years at Le Mans but rather focuses on key Swiss engagements of drivers, teams and other racing related people.

The book is actually delivered in two parts (Tome 1 and 2) and comes in really great quality (paper, print, photos): Over 600 pages and many many rare photos (over 1400 in total!). The picture on the cover of "Tome 1" shows Jo 'Seppi' Siffert at Le Mans 1969 photographed by his sister Adélaïde Siffert.

Absolutely awesome book!

Die Sauber-Formel

Rating = 5
2004-Oct-01 At the time where I wrote this post (02-Dec-2009), Peter Sauber was heavily discussed in the press as of his uncertain situation with his Formula 1 Team in Hinwil. Some days before, Peter Sauber got the agreement from BMW to buy back the team he founded himself back in 1991 and sold it to BMW in 2005.

But the book is not here for that purpose! It is here because of Peter Sauber's past. Click on details to know why...
