Karting


I don’t know whether this is going to be a regular thing but my race gang and I went karting recently and I thought I would better start now to track our hot laps then later or never :-) Who knows where this ends…

On the other hand I could comment on each Karting Location I went to and give some hints and tips whether it is worth going there… the locations will be mostly in Switzerland though.

In case this topic “Karting” grows up to an unforseen size, I’ll devide the page up but for the moment I just start with the one we recently went to.

Tempo-Drom – Winterthur, Switzerland

Karts by Tomkart, Engine based on battery 50 V 40 Ah LiFePO4,
Hydraulic disc brakes at the rear, Tires by Bridgestone, Top Speed 55 km/h


Characteristics: Driven in clockwise direction, nice layout of track featuring a banked 180° curve (Steilwandkurve), a difficult right-left chicane over a little hill (Bergschikane), very fast finishing curve and fast corners across the rest of the track. Although the cars are battery based, they are of awesome quality and quite fast (55 km/h)…
