Major Changes 2010
Despite adaptations in the LMP1 regulations to bring the Diesel armada closer to the petrol racers, Aston Martin does only strive for the victory among the petrol engined LMP1 cars. Instead of 4% air restrictor changes, Aston Martin estimates a 10% in order to become competitive.
New car makes at Le Mans in the GT2 class: Corvette, BMW and Jaguar!
Despite the intention by the ACO to eliminate the GT1 class, FIA convinced ACO to let start the GT1 racers again which are homologated for the FIA GT1 World Championship (Ford, Corvette GT1, Aston Martin)
Ferrari is back with an updated Ferrari F430 GT version. Ferrari’s intention is clear: After 4 x class win in 2008 and 4 x class win in 2009, they want to repeat this in 2010! Modifications are: Wide-Body-Kit making use of the full width of GT1 tire width, little bit more weight but less air restriction! Full description of the modification history is available here.
